Combating antisemitism in honor of Japan that saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust
The recent surge of Antisemitism is the burning issue of our time -- and history has shown that evil flourishes when good people sit back and do nothing. Studies show that the Jewish community is subject to more hate crimes than all other communities combined -- and this ancient scourge is rearing its ugly head with renewed aggression.
As Japan saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust, we teamed up with the Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center to bring together the most influential faith and community leaders to stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and battle this scourge together. We thus chaired the first national conference on Antisemitism and also led the first Multifaith Commemoration of the Holocaust as well as represented Japan at the Holocaust Education Week.
